5 - TAXYING

 

1. Keep The cowling gills and the oil cooler shutter in the normal position (normally fully open).

2. Inspect the switch board.

3. Check the radio.

4. Inspect the safety locks of the undercarriage and tail wheel and also the selector cocks (of the fuel tanks?).

5. Check the free movement of the tailwheel.

6. Check the fuel cocks.

7. Check the operation of the tabs.

8. Set the propeller at "take-off" RPM. (About 2650)

9. Check the brakes at normal RPM and do not ......?......

10. When taxying, look in all directions.

11. In case of vapour lock trouble, increase the pressure in the tank (by mean of the handpump), and reset the fuel cooling apparatus to 2 (?).

 

 

5 - TAKE-OFF

 

1. Reset the cowling gills. (Fully open)

2. Check the propeller pitch control lever before take-off (approximately 90%). (2650)

3. Open the throttle to give increased engine revs and clean the spark plugs. (To minimize vapour)

4. taxy in a straight line for a while.

5. Set (centralize the tailwheel).

6. Open the flaps to 15°. This is not necessary if you are only lightly loaded

7. Boost reading (for take-off should be ) + 200 mm (on the Mark I). Mark II +150 mm.

8. RPM: 2400. Maximum 2600.

9. Speed: 160 - 180 (kilometres/hour).
